How to Swap USDT (TRC20) to Bitcoin on Android: 5 Steps in Swappr (2026)
How do you swap USDT (TRC20) to Bitcoin on an Android phone?
In Swappr you pick USDT (TRC20) as the coin you have and Bitcoin as the coin you want, enter an amount inside the minimum and maximum shown, paste a Bitcoin address that starts with 1, 3 or bc1, tap “Swap now”, then send the exact USDT amount on the TRON network to the deposit address. FixedFloat processes the swap and sends BTC to your address after the deposit is confirmed. No exchange account is needed. The steps below show each screen, what to prepare, how fixed and float rates change the result, and the mistakes that cost people money on this pair.
Educational walkthrough, not financial advice. Rates, limits and network fees change; the numbers in the app at the moment you confirm are the ones that apply.
Swappr in one line, and what this flow uses
Swappr is a free Android app by GSPTeck (our app) for multi-coin swaps processed by FixedFloat. For a USDT to Bitcoin swap it gives you:
- Each coin labelled with its network, so USDT shows as USDT (TRC20) and you know which wallet balance to send from.
- A minimum and maximum for the pair and the estimated BTC you receive, before you create the order.
- A choice of Fixed Rate or Float Rate.
- A deposit screen with a QR code and copy buttons, marked “powered by FixedFloat”.
Honest limits: Swappr is Android-only, it contains ads, and it is a swap tool, not a wallet; you need your own USDT wallet on TRON and your own Bitcoin address. Get it from the Swappr homepage with the Google Play link.
Before you start: what you need
| Item | Why | How to check |
|---|---|---|
| USDT on the TRON network (TRC20) | The deposit must arrive on the network the order expects | Your wallet shows the USDT balance on TRON, and its address starts with T |
| A little TRX | TRC20 transfers consume energy and bandwidth, paid in TRX if you have none staked | Your TRON wallet shows a TRX balance, or it warns you before sending |
| A Bitcoin receiving address | Where the BTC is sent | Starts with 1, 3 or bc1; never a T or 0x address |
| Swappr from Google Play | The app that creates the order | Developer shown as GSPTeck on the listing |
If your USDT sits on Ethereum or BNB Chain instead, choose the matching USDT network in the app; our comparison of USDT on TRC20, BEP20 and ERC20 explains the differences.
The swap, step by step
- Pick the pair. Set the coin you have to USDT (TRC20) and the coin you want to Bitcoin. The pair’s minimum and maximum appear right away.
- Enter the amount and choose the rate. Type the USDT amount and read the estimated BTC. Choose Fixed Rate to lock the quoted amount, or Float Rate to let it follow the market until the swap runs.
- Paste your Bitcoin address. Use your wallet’s copy button, then compare the first and last four characters. Our guide to Bitcoin address types, bc1q, bc1p and Bitcoin Cash shows which formats work and which do not.
- Tap “Swap now” and send. The deposit screen shows the exact USDT amount and a TRON deposit address with a QR code. Send that exact amount from your TRON wallet, then tap “Sent”.
- Wait for confirmations and the payout. FixedFloat runs the exchange after your deposit gets the required network confirmations, then sends BTC to your address. Keep the order ID and your deposit TXID.
Fixed or float for USDT to BTC?
FixedFloat publishes the rules for both rate types on its FAQ:
| Fixed rate | Float rate | |
|---|---|---|
| FixedFloat fee | 1% plus network fee | 0.5% plus network fee |
| When the rate is set | When you create the order | After your deposit is confirmed |
| Time to send | Rate frozen for 10 minutes; send within that window | No frozen window |
| Deposit amount | Must match the order exactly | Follows what arrives |
| Good for | Knowing the BTC amount in advance | A lower fee if you accept market movement |
On a fixed-rate order, FixedFloat says that if the market moves more than 1.2% before your transaction appears on the network, or the amount does not match, you will be offered a refund or the market rate. Our guide to fixed versus float rates in crypto swaps covers the trade-off in more detail.
Where to check the live rate
Swappr does not publish fixed rates for this pair because they move every minute. Two places to sanity-check the estimate before you confirm: the BTC price in USD on a market data site such as CoinGecko, and FixedFloat’s own quote for the same pair and amount. If the estimated BTC in the app is far from the market value of your USDT minus the fees above and the Bitcoin network fee, stop and re-check the amount and the network you selected.
Six mistakes that cost a USDT to BTC swap
- Sending USDT on the wrong network. ERC20 or BEP20 USDT sent to a TRC20 deposit address does not arrive where the order expects it.
- No TRX for fees. Without TRX or staked energy, a TRON wallet cannot send USDT.
- A TRON address as the payout. The receiving field needs a Bitcoin address; a T address is for TRON.
- Sending late on a fixed rate. After 10 minutes the frozen rate lapses and you are offered a refund or the market rate.
- The wrong amount. Below the minimum or different from a fixed order’s amount, the deposit cannot be processed as quoted.
- Sending straight from an exchange. Exchange withdrawals can be delayed, and a refund sent back to an exchange deposit address may not be credited to your account.

FAQ
Can I swap USDT to Bitcoin without an exchange account?
Yes. In Swappr you send USDT from your own wallet and receive BTC at your own address; FixedFloat’s terms say you do not have to register to make an exchange. An order can still be paused for checks in a few cases, such as funds linked to crime.
Why do I need TRX to send USDT on TRC20?
TRC20 transfers use the TRON network’s energy and bandwidth. If you have not staked TRX for those resources, the network fee is paid in TRX, so keep a small TRX balance in the same wallet.
What Bitcoin address should I use?
Any standard Bitcoin mainnet address from your own wallet: it starts with 1, 3 or bc1. Do not use a TRON address, an Ethereum-style 0x address or a Bitcoin Cash address.
How long does a USDT to BTC swap take?
It depends on how fast your TRON deposit confirms and how fast the Bitcoin payout confirms. FixedFloat runs the exchange as soon as the deposit has the required confirmations, then sends the BTC.
Is the fee shown before I confirm?
Yes. Swappr shows the estimated amount you receive and the pair’s limits before you tap “Swap now”, and any rate or fee is shown in the app before you confirm.
